The finest rosés in the world with Giuseppe D’Aquino’s cuisine in the Oseleta restaurant in Cavaion Veronese, on 22 June for #oggirosé


Some of the world’s finest rosés will be paired with Michelin starred chef Giuseppe D’Aquino during dinner in the Oseleta Restaurant at Villa Cordevigo Wine Relais in Cavaion Veronese on 22 June, the first Friday of summer, during #oggirosé, an initiative that will be featured all over Italy by the five Consorzios defending autoctonous Italian rosés (Chiaretto di Bardolino, Valtènesi, Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo, Castel del Monte and Salice Salentino) to coincide with International Rosé Day. The journalist Angelo Peretti, director of The Internet Gourmet, will choose wines from production over the last two years in Italy and France.

To start with, a revisitation of the dish sardines in Saor served with Valtènesi Chiaretto La Moglie Ubriaca 2016 from the La Basia winery. Continuing with Alpine char, bergamot, green apple, cucumber extract with Côtes de Provence Sainte Victoire Rosé Hydropthate Elite 2017 from Domaine des Diables. The third pairing is wagyu, spring onion on coals, oyster sauce with Bandol Rosé 2017 from Domaine Tempier. After this, tagliolino fresh pasta, ricotta cheese and lime on the seabed served with Bardolino Chiaretto Heaven Scent 2017 from Vigneti Villabella, recent winner of the gold medal award at the Rosé World championship in Cannes. A Tribute to Tomato will see pairing with Tavel La Dame Rousse 2016 from Domaine de la Mordorée. Followed by red mullet, romesco sauce, river greens and Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo Piè delle Vigne from Cataldi Madonna, the only rosé to have been awarded the Gambero Rosso’s coveted Three Glasses, vintage 2016. To close with a Chiaretto and peach and the dessert Rosa, Rosae, Rosam paired with Thomas White’s mixes fron the Verona cocktail bar Soda Jerk.

€150 per person for the evening, obviously to include all wines. Tables will be convivially mixed.
