Giuseppe D’Aquino quits for a new professional experience and his former sous-chef replaces him, making for complete continuity.

Relais & Châteaux Villa Cordevigo Wine Relais in Cavaion Veronese, the first 5 star Luxury hotel in the Garda area, with its 1 Michelin star Oseleta restaurant, is about to re-open. The hotel and its bistro will be the first to open its doors to guests on 18th June while the gourmet restaurant will reopen during the summer. Giuseppe D’Aquino has left the Oseleta to undertake a new, different professional journey and Marco Marras, his sous chef during the last season will take over, guaranteeing continuity of the style that led the establishment to the top of the  league of excellence in the area around Garda.
“Giuseppe D’Aquino, with his professionalism and renowned talent,” says the Relais & Châteaux
Villa Cordevigo Wine Relais
‘s General Manager, Lorenza Delibori, speaking as representative of the owners, the
Cristoforetti and Deliborifamilies , was fundamental to the journey we undertook in November 2010, culminating in the Michelin star in 2013. We wish him the greatest success in his new commitment which, we are sure, will allow him to reach many more important goals in his untiring quest and research. We thank him and all the staff. Marco Marras is the ideal person and the perfect professional to take his place, due also to the great many experiences cultivated side by side with Giuseppe”.
“While preparing for my new professional challenge – says Giuseppe D’Aquino – I thank the Cristoforetti and
Delibori families for the trust they have placed in me over the last 10 years of intense activity at Villa Cordevigo and in the Oseleta restaurant. I am very happy to have contributed to leading this property to the highest levels of hospitality and catering in the Verona area. Heartfelt thanks are also due to all the guests and friends who have played such an important part in helping me to realise what to some might appear to be a dream come true, and also to the city of Verona which has always been so affectionate and welcoming with me, and continues to be so to this day. My very best wishes go to Marco, I am certain he will do very well indeed.
Chef de partie at the Oseleta since 2017 and then second chef to Giuseppe D’Aquino since 2019, Marco Marras, thirty-two years of age,
from the charming village of Bosa, in Sardinia, a former student of the local hotel and catering school,  started working in the kitchens of the Hotel Cala di Volpe at Porto Cervo when he was just 16, then went on to Madonna di Campiglio, Geneva, Portofino and the Island of Elba, Miami, Hawaii, Puglia, finally settling in the Verona area.   From 18th giugno the Cordevigo Bistro with its gorgeous, airy terrace overlooking the vineyards and pool, will be the stage on which he will present his  very own idea of cuisine.
“We have decided to open the Bistro, postponing the opening of the Oseleta restaurant as the Bistro responds perfectly to current needs to guarantee a large open air space where our hotel guests and other clients will feel completely at home and relaxed in this post-lockdown period. The Oseleta will return to add rich variety just as soon as conditions are right again”.
